APIC Sierra Chapter Code of Conduct
The APIC Sierra Chapter is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members, event participants, volunteers, and guests. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations and reflects our shared values as infection prevention professionals.
What We Expect from All Participants
We ask that all participants uphold the following principles in both in-person and virtual interactions:
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect
- Promote a professional and collaborative atmosphere
- Foster a culture of inclusion, regardless of background, identity, or role
- Respect differing opinions and approaches
- Maintain confidentiality when required
- Represent the APIC Sierra Chapter in a positive and ethical manner
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered violations of our Code of Conduct:
- Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
- Inappropriate or offensive language or gestures
- Disruption of chapter meetings, events, or communications
- Breach of confidentiality or misuse of shared information
- Misrepresentation of chapter affiliation or roles
Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please notify chapter leadership as soon as possible. All reports will be handled promptly, respectfully, and confidentially.
